The EWN, founded in August 1996, has 4 associates at present.

As service provider in the areas of city development and district management the EWN works among other things for its associates and is rendering in cooperative agreement various construction- and project management services.
The associates of the service provider EWN are strongly affected by the processes of the city reconstruction. Hence, a centralising and coordinating association such as the EWN is a suitable structure to efficiently solve the tasks which arise out of economic changes and the demographic development for the benefit of all parties.
The associates directly and indirectly assist the activities of the community participants in enabling the project related work of the EWN within the residential districts or providing technical, financial and human resources for the execution of arrangements in the city districts. For instance the companies support the work for the local alliance for families (Bündnis für Familie im Landkreis Bitterfeld).
